Currency

The currency is Turkish lira but everywhere will accept pounds sterling. Credit cards are accepted in most shops and restaurants.

At the moment you get about 2.7 YTL to the pound but the official rates for YTL are adjusted daily according to changes in the International monetary markets.

Airport

The main airport here in Northern Cyprus is Ercan which is approximately 30 minutes drive from Kyrenia, the airport services flights from all major UK airports on a daily basis.

Larnaca airport located in Southern Cyprus and is approximately 90 minutes drive from Kyrenia, again Larnaca services flights from all UK airports with the added benefit of dealing with all major European destinations.
