Banking

There are a number of banks here in Northern Cyprus with some of the major UK banks represented such as HSBC. All the banks easily facilitate money transfers as they have connections with all major international banks.

A deposit account can be opened in sterling or any other major currency and can be drawn from in that currency or Turkish Lira. Interest rates are generally very good here when saving, but very high when borrowing.

Education

The standards of education in North Cyprus are generally very high. There are a number of schools both private and state run, from kindergarten through to secondary in all the main towns, many offering a bilingual education.

Students may then go onto one of the 4 universities here in N. Cyprus or to one of the several excellent universities in Turkey to continue their education.
