time is two hours ahead of GMT.
Religion & Local Churches
The main religion is Muslim however orthodox practice
is not common, there are a number of religious holidays such as
Ramadan and various Bayrams.
The Anglican church of St Andrew’s in
Kyrenia is located near the town centre and services are held on
Thursdays and Sundays.
The Catholic Church is also in
Kyrenia town
centre holding Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sunday
of every month. Nicosia and
Famagusta also have representations from
all the major churches.
