Plain Sailing Ahead for a Water Sports 'Centre Of Excellence'

Former RAF Officer of 30 years Chris Cockshott of Catalkoy intends to set up the centre to train youngsters and adults alike.

The former Royal Yacht Association coach and assessor has been a permanent resident of the island since 1983, operating the Dolphin Sailing business.

With the assistance of Mustafa Sevketoglu who has a boat showroom in Kyrenia and the business acumen of Mehmet Diana, president of the Kyrenia Watersports Association  (KWA) and proprietor of Diana beach where the centre will be located.

As part of the KWA the centre will run as a not-for-profit concern, with all money made on lessons being used to help pay for cost of the boats

Mr Cockshott will be assisted in the training by three vastly experienced watersports experts
